Firefighter
Hardeeville Fire Department is accepting applications for the position of Firefighter. This is a grant funded position. This is an application period will be open until November 13, 2009.
Minimum qualifications:
- Successful applicants MUST obtain IFSAC Firefighter I or equivalent within six months of being hired.
- DOT First Responder
Preferred qualifications:
- IFSAC Firefighter II
- Basic EMT
- Two years full-time employment as a firefighter
IFSAC Firefighter II must be obtained within 24 months of employment.
All applicants must meet the following standards:
- Must be 18 years of age, possess a high school diploma or GED, and a valid drivers license
- Out of state applicants MUST submit a 10 year driving record with their application
This is a full-time position, working a 24/48 schedule.

Patrol Officer
The City of Hardeeville is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. This is a uniformed position assigned to the Patrol Division. All Officers participate and work in support of the department’s philosophy of Community Oriented Policing, Customer Service Leadership and Problem Solving. Work is performed on a rotating twelve hour shift configuration including weekends. Minimum qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Law Enforcement Officer Certification preferred. Applicants will be subject to a thorough background investigation to include criminal, driving record and credit histories. Must possess a valid SC Driver’s License with no DUI or Driving Under Suspension in the past ten years. Upon a conditional offer of employment, the successful applicant must undergo a drug test.
