According to the U.S. Census Office, the city grew by 210 people between 1990 and 2000 to a total of 1,793. Those eight-year-old figures don’t account for the rapid expansion of the City's limits or the general growth that the Lowcountry has undergone since then. Right now, Hardeeville is home to around 2,300 citizens and growing each day. The unemployment rate generally stays between 4.9% and 5.1%.
