Sustainable growth for a brighter future.

Some facts about Hardeeville's future.

  • Annexed the 5,000-acre West Argent tract north of Exit 8 off I-95 in mid-June, 2005, doubling the city's size.

  • Annexed the 7,000-acre Argent East tract just east of the Great Swamp in mid-July, 2005, nearly doubling the city again.

  • The city's negotiation team is working to permit the development of at least four more tracts, which would total 30,000-plus acres and probably contain 50,000 new homes.

  • Millions of square feet of commercial buildings are planned, as well as a similar amount of industrial businesses situated to take advantage of the nearby Savannah port, the proposed Jasper County port, the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport, and the CSX Railroad running north to south through town.
