Visiting for a short stay?
You'll find that we are much less expensive than the nearby resort areas. Not only that, but the attitude toward tourists here has always been one of warmth and welcome. Our restaurants are owned by folk with a real grasp of Southern hospitality. Our motel owners and operators are brisk and efficient in catering to your every need. Our businesses are interested in your business, and can provide you with everything you need - be it fuel or food, someone to repair your vehicle, or just to help you relax. Most of our business operators are local folk, and can tell you where to go to find exactly what you need.
Our charming city has a boat landing, a recreation department, and even a museum. While we ask you to slow down and be cautious while driving about our city - many of our folk enjoy walking to and from work, school, and recreation - our police and fire departments take their responsibility of protecting you very seriously.
There is our annual Celebrate Hardeeville festival on Oct. 29; a frolicking family day of local musical and artistic talent, as well as a host of various foods served throughout the day. Don't miss dancing in front of the stage as the sun sets, or the fireworks finale, or the kiddie rides! Fun for the whole family, the Festival promotes good food, good fun, and a kinship atmosphere of an old-time town festival.
